📄️ Overview
Skwad treats accounts similarly to other apps with a few minor differences.
📄️ Balances Explained
The account page throws many numbers at you, but they're all straightforward once you know what they mean.
📄️ Manual (Cash) Accounts
Rather than relying on external sources, Manual accounts keep a running total of your transactions from your very first entry.
📄️ Unknown accounts
When Skwad imports transactions via email scans or file uploads, it tries to match each transaction to one of your accounts using the last four digits of the account number. If Skwad cannot find a matching account, the transaction is assigned to Unknown Account.
📄️ Account types
Every account in Skwad has a type that describes what it is — checking, credit card, Roth IRA, HELOC, and so on. The type controls how the account is grouped, how its balance is signed, and where it shows up in your net worth.
