SKWAD ANTI-SPAM POLICY

Last Updated: July 14, 2026

OUR COMMITMENT

Skwad ("we," "us," "our") sends email and push notifications to its users for a small set of well-defined purposes: confirming account actions, alerting you to changes in your linked accounts and budgets, and — when you have opted in — sharing news, tips, and product updates. We do not buy, scrape, or otherwise build email lists, we do not run promotional campaigns to people who have not signed up for Skwad, and we do not allow Skwad accounts to be used as a tool for sending unwanted messages to anyone else.

This policy describes (1) the rules every outbound message we send must follow, (2) what users may not use the Service to do, and (3) the rights every recipient has. It applies to all email, push notifications, and in-app messages sent through Skwad and is binding on every user of the Service.

1. HOW WE SEND EMAIL AND OTHER MESSAGES

  • Categories of messages. Skwad sends three categories:
    1. Transactional / account messages — sign-in codes, password resets, billing receipts, free-trial reminders, security alerts, and account-status changes. These are required to operate the Service and cannot be unsubscribed from while your account remains open.
    2. Service alerts — budget thresholds, recurring-charge alerts, low-balance warnings, and similar event-driven notifications. You can disable any of these at any time from your in-app notification preferences.
    3. Marketing and product updates — feature announcements, tips, and other promotional content. We send these only to users who have opted in, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such message or from your in-app notification preferences.
  • Identification. Every email we send identifies Skwad as the sender, includes a working reply-to address, and includes our physical mailing address (TCS Digital, LLC, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States), as required by the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
  • One-click unsubscribe. Marketing emails include the standard List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post headers (RFC 8058) so you can opt out from a single click in your email client.
  • No bulk solicitations. We do not send unsolicited messages to people who do not have a Skwad account, and we do not allow our users to use the Service to do so.
  • Compliance. Our email practices are designed to comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the bulk-sender requirements of major mailbox providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft), and the policies of our email-delivery provider (Sinch / Mailgun).

2. PROHIBITED CONDUCT BY USERS

Users of Skwad agree never to use the Service or their Skwad account to:

  1. Send unsolicited bulk or commercial email of any kind from a Skwad-issued address or via Skwad's infrastructure;
  2. Send promotional content, advertising, sales solicitations, or political messaging through any Skwad-provided channel (including in-app messages and shared-Skwad invitations);
  3. Submit fabricated, altered, or stolen receipts, statements, or other documents in order to game budgeting, alerting, or any other Skwad feature;
  4. Impersonate any person, business, or government agency;
  5. Send harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or sexually explicit content through any Skwad-provided channel;
  6. Harvest, scrape, or otherwise collect email addresses, names, or other personal information from Skwad — whether of other users or of merchants surfaced in transaction data — for use outside the Service;
  7. Use Skwad-issued addresses (including dedicated Skwad-Scan parse addresses) to receive email unrelated to the user's own legitimate Skwad activity;
  8. Bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or any other access controls we use to operate the Service;
  9. Submit shared-Skwad invitations to people you do not know personally or who have not consented to receive a Skwad invitation.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, the deletion of in-flight invitations or alerts, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement or to the affected provider.

3. RIGHTS OF EMAIL RECIPIENTS

If you have received email from Skwad — whether you are an active user, a former user, a recipient of a shared-Skwad invitation, or anyone else — you have the following rights:

  • Reply directly. The reply-to address on every Skwad message routes back into our support inbox. You may correspond with us directly at that address or at [email protected].
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email. Click the one-click unsubscribe link in any marketing email, use your email client's List-Unsubscribe header (one click), reply with the word "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the body, or email [email protected]. We honor opt-out requests within ten (10) business days, as required by the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
  • Control alerts and product messages. Active users can disable individual notification categories from their in-app preferences without losing access to the Service.
  • Report abuse. If you believe a message you received misrepresents your relationship with Skwad, was sent in someone else's name, or otherwise violates this policy, send a copy of the email (including full headers) to [email protected]. We investigate every report and act on confirmed abuse.

If you continue to receive marketing email from Skwad more than ten (10) business days after a clean unsubscribe, please escalate to [email protected] — that is a bug, not policy.

4. OUR ENFORCEMENT

We monitor outbound email volume, bounce rates, complaint rates, and abuse reports. We may, without prior notice:

  • Suspend or terminate any user account that triggers spam, abuse, or fraud signals;
  • Block individual outbound messages or invitations that fail policy review;
  • Add a recipient address to our internal opt-out / suppression list at the recipient's request;
  • Cooperate with law enforcement, our email-delivery provider, the recipient's mailbox provider, and the recipient's domain operator on confirmed abuse.

5. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Anti-Spam Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or to applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent in-product notice at least thirty (30) days before they take effect.
